Key Bridge Signs Spectrum Sharing Contract with Defense Information Systems Agency
Date: October 4, 2016
McLean, VA – I’m pleased to share that Key Bridge has executed a contract with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Defense Spectrum Organization, to customize and operate our commercial Spectrum Access System (SAS) in the 2025–2110 MHz band.
This competitive award extends our proven SAS—originally developed for commercial users—into government applications. In this band, the Government operates as a secondary user, and our system will deliver real-time spectrum situational awareness while ensuring no interference to primary commercial services.
I’ve long believed that commercial innovation can significantly benefit federal spectrum management, and this contract is strong validation of that approach. It also directly supports DoD’s Electromagnetic Spectrum Strategy by accelerating spectrum-sharing technologies and enabling near-real-time operations.
Our team has worked hard to earn this trust from DISA, and I’m grateful for the opportunity.
We look forward to delivering a reliable, neutral solution that serves both national defense and the broader wireless ecosystem.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
