Key Bridge Announces Start of TV Whitespace Certification Trial in Canada
Date: February 6, 2017
McLean, VA – Today we’ve launched a 30-day public trial of our TV Whitespace Spectrum Access System (SAS) in Canada—opening approximately 294 MHz of spectrum for wireless innovation and broadband.
This trial gives the community an opportunity to test and evaluate our system’s ability to identify available channels, register protected facilities, and provide robust incumbent protection under Canadian jurisdiction.
For me, this is a significant step forward. We earned U.S. TV white space certification in 2013 and have continued innovating ever since. The Canadian SAS is built on our second-generation platform—the same foundation we’re using for the 3.5 GHz CBRS band.
I invite everyone interested to participate at http://ca.keybridgewireless.com. Your feedback will be invaluable as we expand dynamic spectrum solutions across North America.
Thank you for your support as we bring shared spectrum to more users and markets.
