Spectrum Inquiry Response
When you select a point on the map a Spectrum Inquiry calculation request is submitted
to the Key Bridge Spectrum Access System (SAS), which then evaluates the maximum available transmit
power for a "type-standard" hypothetical transmitter on all available CBRS channels.
CBRS spectrum availability is influenced by different priority tiers and types of incumbent or protected users.
A priority user's influence on spectrum availability is highly dependent upon their
policy profile and technical configuration, which are evaluated for all channels in the request
by the Key Bridge SAS.
Priority user influence on a channel can either reduce the maximum available power of your transmission
or disallow your transmission entirely.
These are shown in the table with a block
or an influence
icon to to help you better understand
spectrum availability.
This resource provides an estimate of available CBRS spectrum anywhere in the United States.
The response is an estimate because the answer is calculated for a hypothetical
transmitter configuration.
A true response is produced for your subscribed radios, which send
Spectrum Inquiry calculation requests via a dedicated machine-to-machine interface
with the Key Bridge Spectrum Access System.
This is because the Key Bridge SAS can calculate a precise solution with
your radio's complete registration configuration.
