FCC Certifies Key Bridge TV White Space System for Commercial Operations
Date: November 20, 2013
McLean, VA – I’m thrilled to announce that the FCC has granted full certification for our TV White Space database system, and we are now open for general commercial operations across the United States and territories.
Our development team has worked incredibly hard over a long period to reach this point, and I’m deeply grateful to them—as well as to our many industry partners who provided valuable input that helped us deliver an even stronger service.
This certification is a major milestone, but it’s only the beginning. With this achievement behind us, we plan to maintain—and even accelerate—our pace of innovation in dynamic spectrum access.
The Key Bridge White Space Portal offers a comprehensive set of tools to explore local spectrum availability in the 54–698 MHz television bands, while providing efficient, secure registration workflows to protect licensed incumbents such as broadcasters, wireless microphones, and cable head-ends.
Best of all, the portal is available to the public free of charge, with no cost for user accounts or basic transactions.
Thank you for your continued support as we make shared spectrum simpler and more accessible.
