How to Use Your CPI Certificate

This guide explains how to submit your Certified Professional Installer (CPI) certificate for Category B CBSD installations.

Overview

For outdoor or high-power (Category B) CBSDs, FCC rules require professional installation. The installer must be CPI-accredited (per WINNF-TS-0247), and the signed installation parameters must be attested.

Prerequisites

• Valid CPI accreditation certificate (PDF format preferred)
• Key Bridge portal account

Step 1: Upload CPI Certificate

1. Log in to the Key Bridge portal (https://portal.keybridgewireless.com)
2. Navigate to Account Settings → CPI Certificates
3. Click Upload New Certificate
4. Select your CPI certificate file
5. Enter expiration date if not auto-detected
6. Submit

Automatic Handling:

• We validate the certificate
• Associate it with your user account
• Enable CPI-signed installations for all your CBSDs
• No further action required during registration

Step 2: Install and Register CBSDs

• Perform installation per CPI training
• Use accurate parameters (height, antenna, location)
• Register normally via protocol — no certificate embedding needed
