Chairing the Wireless Innovation Forum Interoperability Work Group
Date: February 11, 2011
McLean, VA – I’m honored to announce that I’ve been elected to chair the Wireless Innovation Forum’s (WInnForum) Dynamic Spectrum Access / White Space Database Interoperability Work Group.
This group plays a critical role in developing standards and best practices that ensure TV White Space database systems can work together seamlessly—maximizing spectrum availability while providing robust protection for incumbents like broadcasters and wireless microphones.
For me, interoperability has always been key to unlocking the full potential of dynamic spectrum access. By bringing administrators, device manufacturers, and regulators together, we can create a more open, competitive ecosystem that benefits everyone.
I’m excited to lead this effort alongside talented colleagues from across the industry. Our work will help pave the way for successful commercial deployments and set a strong foundation for future shared-spectrum frameworks.
Thank you to the Forum members for their confidence, and I look forward to the productive discussions ahead.
