Transferring your CBRS service to Key Bridge is easy and seamless with our Transfer Wizard.
Once the transfer is complete, you gain immediate access to the Key Bridge Spectrum Access System (SAS) with full administrator control over your licenses, radios, and all granted spectrum assignments.
To make the migration even smoother, we provide a dedicated Transfer Wizard directly in the Key Bridge CBRS portal:
Open the CBRS Transfer Wizard →
This wizard supports seamless, hitless transfers from other SAS providers. You can move your operations without any service outage or disruption to your customers. The process is designed for maximum convenience, giving you full control over timing and pace.
Choose the on-boarding path below that matches your current CBRS deployment.
No charge until completion.
We do not count transferred radios against your billing volume until you have finished configuring the radios and the CBSD has successfully contacted our SAS. You have up to 30 days to complete this step (extensions are available upon request).
This policy gives you the flexibility to pre-authorize your radios through the wizard first, then execute the actual cutover whenever it best fits your schedule — delivering maximum stability and zero impact on your end users.
Import radios currently operating under your CBRS Priority Access License (PAL) authority.
Before you start:
If your PAL-licensed radios are already registered with another SAS, we recommend using the PAL Transfer utility available inside the Transfer Wizard.
This method transfers your existing PAL registrations intact, preserving all current grants and assignments without the need for re-registration. You receive a full month (extendable on request) to complete configuration while maintaining uninterrupted service. It is the preferred, lowest-risk path for PAL holders who value continuity.
Import radios currently operating under CBRS General Authorized Access (GAA) rules.
Before you start:
You will need to identify all of your radios in a spreadsheet. We provide a simple template for download.
For GAA radios, the Transfer Wizard allows you to import any number of devices in a single bulk operation using a straightforward spreadsheet template. Each radio must be entered on its own row with the required fields completed accurately.
Spreadsheet Column Specifications
| Column | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
fcc_id | String | The complete radio FCC identifier. Matching is exact but not case sensitive. This value is validated against the FCC’s official database. |
serial_number | String | The manufacturer-assigned serial number of the radio. This field is used to locate your existing registration record and must match exactly. |
latitude | Number | The installed geographic latitude in decimal degrees North. Must match to six significant digits of precision. |
longitude | Number | The installed geographic longitude in decimal degrees East. Must match to six significant digits of precision. Note: Unless you are located in Samoa or the Andeanoff Islands, this value will be negative. |
display_name | String | Optional. A human-readable label for the radio installation. When supplied, it is stored with the registration and displayed in the Key Bridge portal, making it easier to search, organize, and manage your radios. We recommend a consistent dot-delimited naming convention such as customerX.jobY.radioZ. |
Example Spreadsheet Entry
Each radio must appear on its own line. At minimum, the first four fields are required. Here are two valid examples:
FCCID1234,6PQ5SYP6MG2,39.123456,-83.654321,customerX.jobY.radioZ
FCCID1234,6PQ5SYP6MX3,38.987654,-84.123456
The first line includes an optional display name; the second demonstrates the minimum required data.
Field Formats and Matching Strategy
,) characters.How We Verify Ownership
Securely transferring radio registrations requires reliable proof of ownership. We only need four pieces of information per radio — functioning as a username, password, and secondary verification combined. These four data points are sufficient to grant you full administrative control:
This approach allows us to confidently confirm legitimate ownership while keeping the process simple and efficient for you.
Once your radios have been transferred or pre-authorized through the wizard, the final step is to direct your CBRS devices and domain proxies to the Key Bridge SAS. This is a simple configuration update on each device.
https://sas.cbrs.keybridgewireless.com/v1.2
Use this exact URL in your device or domain proxy configuration.
Important benefit for transfers: When moving from another SAS provider, CPI re-registration is not required. We automatically import your existing device configurations, including active Grants and PPAs. You only need to update the SAS URL field, save, and apply the change.
Locate the appropriate setting for your equipment using the table below:
| Vendor / Device | Where to Change the SAS URL |
|---|---|
| Airspan | Netspan → CBSD Profile → Primary SAS URL |
| Askey | Web UI → CBSD → SAS Server |
| Baicells (Nova, Halo, etc.) | Web UI → Settings → CBSD → SAS Server |
| Cambium cnWave / PMP 450 / ePMP | cnMaestro or device Web UI → CBRS/SAS Settings |
| CommScope RUCKUS CBRS | SmartZone / ZoneDirector → CBSD Configuration |
| FreedomFi / Magma | Gateway Admin → enb.cfg or CBSD config |
| Gemtek | Web UI → CBRS Settings → SAS Server Address |
| JMA XRAN / Teko DAS | XRAN Controller → Domain Proxy URL |
| Nokia AirScale | Element Manager → CBSD Parameters |
| Sercomm | Web UI → Advanced → SAS Configuration |
| Tarana G1 | Tarana Cloud Suite → Site → CBSD → SAS Settings |
After updating the URL:
Your device will automatically connect to the Key Bridge SAS and receive a grant within 1–2 minutes.
You’re all set. Your CBRS radios are now fully managed under the Key Bridge SAS, giving you complete administrative control, industry-leading reliability (99.986% lifetime uptime), and access to our full suite of portal tools, compliance features, and dedicated support.
If you have any questions during the transfer process or need help with a specific vendor configuration, our team is ready to assist.
