Implementing CBRS 2.0 Enhancements for Greater Spectrum Availability
Date: July 8, 2024
McLean, VA – The FCC has approved our SAS, along with others, to implement updated interference modeling for CBRS—key advancements in the industry’s CBRS 2.0 rollout.
These changes significantly improve spectrum availability, especially in coastal regions, while preserving zero interference to federal incumbents.
The FCC’s continued leadership—through the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau and OET—has been instrumental in refining this framework to meet evolving needs. The Wireless Innovation Forum’s standards efforts have provided the technical foundation for these improvements.
Our ESC continues full commercial operations, supporting reliable shared use of this vital mid-band spectrum.
Thank you for your partnership.
